13th Nordic Photosynthesis Congress is well underway

Congress

Photosynthesis, primary production, plant stress and acclimation are on the agenda for the NPC13 2016. This Thursday 27 October the 3rd day of the NPC13 congress is off to a good start.

Lively talk in the coffee break.

Photosynthesis from all angles

Researchers from the Nordic countries and around the world are gathered this week (25-28 October) in Copenhagen to discuss topics related to photosynthesis. The topic in focus this Thursday is “Regulation and acclimation of photosynthesis”. The topics for the 4 congress days, 25-28 October, are:

  • Improving photosynthesis
  • Structure and function of photosynthetic reaction centre and antennae complexes
  • Biogenesis of the photosynthetic machinery and retrograde signalling
  • Regulation and acclimation of photosynthesis
  • Renewable energy: biological and chemical approaches

Esa Tyystjärvi from University of Turku, Giovanni Finazzi from CEA-Grenoble, and Alix Boulouis from IBPC kicked the 3rd congress day off with lectures under the topic of "Regulation and acclimation of photosynthesis".

Exhibitors and sponsors

The congress organizer this year is Copenhagen Plant Science Centre. We are very grateful for having been sponsored by Aralab Strenometer, Carlsbergfondet, Li-Cor, Ninolab/Conviron, Phytoab and SPPS who has all helped to make the congress possible. Ninolab/Conviron plant growth chambers and rooms, Aralab Strenometer and Li-cor Biosciences are exhibiting at the congress.

Eva Kokholm from Ninolab/Conviron, Oliver Marx from Li-Cor and Jonas Laursen from Aralab Strenometer.
