CPSC PhDs visit University of Gothenburg for photosynthesis course
Photosynthetic processes and primary production was the focus of a PhD course at University of Gothenburg in the last week of November. 4 PhD students from research groups at Copenhagen Plant Science Centre participated in the course together with PhD students from other universities.
During the course, up-to-date mechanistic aspects in photosynthetic reactions, primary production, and response to environmental changes in land and aquatic environments, as well as biofuel applications were studied. The course included both theory and practical sessions.
The course was organized by Cornelia Spetea Wiklund, Department of Biological & Environmental Sciences, University of Gothenburg.
Pictures from the course:
1-3: In the lab, the participants measure fluorescence with handheld devices.
4: Group photo of all participants.
5-7: In the marine research station of Kristineberg, dealing with aquatic photosynthesis.
We kindly thank Cornelia Spetea Wiklund, University of Gothenburg, for providing the photos.
